China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd (CMHI) and DNV GL signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the classification of two multi-activity jack-up units at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston yesterday. Ordered by OOS Energy B.V., which is affiliated with Netherlands-based Overdulve Offshore Services (OOS) International, these 96 m long units will be purpose-built for the decommissioning market. Construction is scheduled to start later this year.

On February 7th, the naming and delivery ceremony for SSAV OOS Tiradentes has taken place at CIMC Raffles in Yantai, China. At the shipyard of CIMC Raffles, more than thousands of yard employees and team members of OOS International were involved in the construction of the OOS Tiradentes.
OOS International is filled with pride to introduce a new semi-submersible accommodation vessel (SSAV), the OOS Tiradentes (previously named CR-600), destined to enter the OOS International fleet. This vessel, named after a famous independence hero in Brazil, will departure from Yantai to Brazil in February 2018 and be stationed in Brazil under contract with Petrobras.
On 19 December 2017, the keel laying ceremony for the OOS Serooskerke (Hull No: 163-1) was held at China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) in Haimen. This marks another important milestone for OOS International.
