Keel Laying Ceremony for OOS Serooskerke in China

On 19 December 2017, the keel laying ceremony for the OOS Serooskerke (Hull No: 163-1) was held at China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) in Haimen.

This marks another important milestone for OOS International as the company gets closer to bringing a state-of-the-art semi-submersible heavy lift crane vessel into the market. The OOS Serooskerke is expected to be delivered in Q2 2019. The vessel is able to perform heavy lifts up to 4,400mt, equipped with active heave compensation and able to perform subsea lifts. The OOS Serooskerke has an accommodation for 750 people and is designed in accordance to the ABS Habitability notation for crew comfort. She also complies to UK HSE standards and is designed to operate under stringent requirements.

A total of 166 blocks are being constructed and 38 blocks are waiting to start. The vessel is expected to stay in the dock for approximately 9 months and thereafter she will complete the rest of her commissioning along the quayside.
